FAVORITES
Jeans for Junior Achievement: Employees designate one day or even a whole week as Jeans for JA casual day/week. Employees give a donation (typically $5 for a Friday or $15 for a month of Fridays) and proudly show their support for kids by wearing their Jeans for JA sticker on the days they wear jeans to work. Stickers can be printed by clicking HERE. The stickers are the same size as the Avery 5160 label sheets, 30 to a page 1" X 2-5/8". (You may have to adjust the margins on your printer to run the labels, so you might want to run a sample first.)
Rose Sales: Make everyone A CELEBRITY with their sweethearts on Valentine’s Day with rose, candy, and balloon sales. Check the selection at the local Dollar Stores.
Oriental Trading: Oriental Trading Co. offers hundreds of ideas for cute items to buy and resell. Lots of nice Valentine’s Day gifts, as well! Check out the great deals on the Web at www.orientaltrading.com.
COSTCO Munchies: An easy fundraiser! Purchase a box of candy bars or other individually bagged munchies. Put up a sign stating: “Help kids and satisfy your sweet-tooth at the same time! $1/bar” (Or whatever price you think you can sell the item for.) Then, each week change the item you sell, so they keep coming back for new treats!
COSTCO Items: Don’t forget the packaged gifts, knick-knacks, and frames that COSTCO sells in bulk packages! They are great items to sell individually for a profit!
Prime Parking: “Sell” a prime parking spot at your organization to the highest bidder. (Be sure to ask the CEO first). The top bidder gets the spot for a day, a week, or a month.
Change to Make a Change: Place “Penny Jars” near the coffeepot and throughout your organization. Use an old quart jar from home and place JA information near the jar. A flyer near the jar could read: “Junior Achievement Month. Every time you drink a cup of coffee, please donate 25 cents to the future of our kids!”
Schoolhouse Sales: Sell JA paper schoolhouses for a donation of $1, $5, or even $10 each! Pickup schoolhouses at the KeyBank on Canal Drive (next to Outback Steakhouse).
Krispy Kreme Sales: The phone number for Krispy Kreme Fundraising information is: 1-866-553-8637 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting. end_of_the_skype_hYou can also check their web site at http://www.kremeworks.com/. Click on Fundraising to obtain information and details.
Potato Bake or Breakfast in a BAG: An easy fundraiser that will bring in the troops! Bake the potatoes and provide the toppings: sour cream, butter, onions, spices, chili, bacon bits, chives, etc.
Bake Sale: Who can resist home-baked goods? You can even host a silent auction bake sale that closes five minutes before lunch time. Hungry shoppers…what motivation to drive up the bids!
Chili or Soup Contest: Cold weather is the perfect time to hold a chili or soup-cooking contest. Those who wish to sample the soup/chili pay a fee.
Dessert Contest: This contest will be very popular! Judges pay to participate. Extras are sold to co-workers.
Make it easy: Order in pizza and charge a premium for resale!
Hershey’s Chocolate Bars: Go to www.hersheysfundraising.com and view the products page for choices of $1 assortments of the top Hershey brands people love!
ENTERTAINMENT

Fun Day: Booths can be assembled for all kinds of fundraising activities including arcade games, children's games, train rides, pony rides, face painting, basketball free throw challenge, food, and drinks.
Two-Step or Salsa Lessons: Here is your chance to learn those new dance steps! Coordinate recreational dancers to teach interested employees how to dance. Sell the lessons!
SPORTING/ACTIVITY EVENTS
Hold a Mini Sporting Event: Serve your favorite snack and get your fellow employees to wear their favorite team’s jerseys! Have your colleagues vote for their favorite college team (pit Cougars against Huskies and watch the sparks and dollars fly)! Keep a running total for each team – charge $1-5/vote.
Olympics: Invite employees to compete in crazy “athletic” events (turkey bowling, hula hooping, etc.) for silly prizes. Participants donate a $5 fee to enter.
Aerobic-A-Thon: Secure a local health club chain to sponsor a 3- or 4-hour aerobic dance session.
Company Golf Tournament: Proceeds go to Junior Achievement.
Tailgate Party: Football, baseball, and hockey seasons may coincide with your campaign! Back a truck or cart into the employee lounge, lower the tailgate and sell sports fare: hot dogs, soft drinks, chips, candy bars, peanuts, team items, etc.
BOSSES CAN HELP BOOST YOUR BUCKS!
CEO/President Takes a New Job: The CEO/President replaces the top fundraiser for a day on the job. If you think the boss doesn’t understand your job, this may be a way to get them to “walk a mile in your shoes!” Set a minimum amount to be raised prior to announcing the contest.
Get a Day Off: For any bowler who raises $500 or more and joins our elite $500 Club, the boss will grant you one paid day of vacation. This is a great way to raise the average amount that bowlers raise.
Go Home Early: The boss collects $25 at the front door from every employee who wants to leave work early.
Lunch with CEO/President: Any employee reaching a goal of $___ will be treated to a lunch with the CEO or President. What a great opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of the bowlers and their fundraising success.
Power Lunch: Pay to have lunch with an executive.
Park like the Boss: Employees purchase raffle tickets to win the boss' parking spot for a day or other specified amount of time.
You’ve Been Greened: Anonymously “decorate” an unsuspecting senior management office from top to bottom with Junior Achievement green then leave a “ransom” note that the décor can be removed and relocated into another office of their choice for a fee. (Say, $25).
Car Wash: Have your senior staff wash the cars of all employees who raise more than $250 for County Fair Bowl 2010. Or recruit some hard-working volunteers to wash cars in a parking lot for a fee.
